Meet the Team

Jim DeSimone is Vice President of Business Development. Jim loves working with brokers to structure deals. He most enjoys working with brokers and small business owners to secure the funding they need to fuel their growth.

Before joining Oakmont Commercial, Jim was Director of Sales at KCMI Capital for 6 years. Prior to this, Jim spent 18 years as a partner in multiple national broker and lender shops, including Equity One, SBC and S2 Commercial Capital. Jim’s entire career has been in the commercial mortgage arena. On a personal note, Jim is married to his wife of over 20 years with 2 wonderful kids.

Laura Eichwald is Vice President of Loan Processing at Oakmont Commercial. She has been closing small commercial loans for over 17 years. After a loan is approved, Laura takes you through the process all the way to the closing table. Laura understands that a small business owner’s life can be complicated and busy. Realizing that your plate is full with a business to run, Laura works diligently to get your loan closed so you can focus on the things that matter – growing your business. Her greatest pride is ensuring that you have a positive, easy experience.

Don is Vice President of Mortgage Operations at Oakmont Commercial. Prior to joining Oakmont Commercial, Don was Vice President of Operations at KCMI Capital, Inc. for 5 years. His focus is operations, compliance, and collections, however Don enjoys supporting his colleagues with sales, processing, and underwriting when needed. Don and the Oakmont Commercial team look forward to the challenge of growing the portfolio through continual collaboration of the Oakmont Commercial process.

Drew Culkin is a Loan Officer at Oakmont Commercial. Prior to joining the Oakmont team, he spent 10 years as an account executive working for APEX Commercial Capital. He’s closed hundreds of small balance commercial loans while helping brokers, investors, and property owners along the way. His personal hobbies include, surfing, and loud rock music.

Lauren Keeney is the Administrative Assistant at Oakmont Commercial. Prior to Oakmont, Lauren spent 6 years at KCMI Capital as the Administrative Assistant and assisting the underwriter and head of operations. She enjoys helping those that do not qualify for a traditional type of loan due to unfortunate circumstances and being able to deliver a great product for those in need. Lauren’s personal hobbies include spending quality time with her family, pool time, beach days, watching her children play sports, and watching their beloved Philadelphia Eagles together.
